Astoundingly fond of avocados and rainy weather.

As I was driving through a dark forest tonight, some gigantic, bendy creature stood up on its hind legs and strolled into the road like a human would, one foot after the other. Its gold eyes flickered towards me, staring down my car for several long, skin-crawling seconds, and then it fell down to all fours and pounded back into the trees. It was a terrifying moment. ANIMALS SHOULDN'T MIMIC HUMANS LIKE THAT. GLJKSHDLKGHLKHGSKDL. MY HEART. *falls over*

In other news, thank you to [info]awanderingbard and [info]_medley_ for their lovely replies on my last post. Your support was very appreciated. I'm pleased to say that I'm feeling a great deal better about life in general today. I went for a long drive, found a lovely park, and walked the paths with a friend. I'm finding myself developing a much greater appreciation for nature as I get older. When I was a kid, nature was the place where the swingsets and honeybees were, but nowadays, it's a source of great calm.

Before I end this entry, I shall share the 4-minute preview for Elementary that has recently been revealed. Frustratingly enough for my desire to hate it, it looks like it might actually be rather good. Witness, the video! And judge for yourself.

This day surely shows much promise! I am grateful that I have arrived at a point in my life at which someone can trust me to pump out their toilet before I've even woken up fully.

Actually, it was somewhat entertaining, and I say this mostly because I have a special gift for finding absurdity in the way I react to disquieting situations. There I was, decked out in my sparkly, star-printed sleep pants and a pair of combat boots to stand in the bathroom water, attacking the toxic toilet with vigor. No matter that I had not even eaten breakfast yet! Or combed my hair! When a nearby toilet backs up...well! We all know where priorities must lie. If we do not, then we are only deceiving ourselves. An overflowing toilet waits for no one.

So anyway, the sun has not even fully risen yet, and I have already contributed valuable work to this world. I am content, and I am proud. Hurray, me! XD

This has been a TMI post. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.

Is there a word for the feeling experienced when a friend who is in a bad relationship gets broken up with (and thus, gets out of the bad relationship), but then the two of them get back together a few days later? It's worse when the friend is excited to have the awful person back. There should be a word for that combination of hope and despair. It's a horrible feeling. If only telling people they're in a bad relationship was enough to make people stay out of them, but alas, sentimentality does not seem to work that way.

In other news, if someone can please look at my recent icon post and tell me if my coloring is okay, I would greatly appreciate it. In particular, I need to know if what I'm making is too RED or too BLUE so that I can make proper adjustments to my computer monitor. Oh, why can't everyone just use the color scheme I made for myself years ago? IT IS VASTLY SUPERIOR AND BRILLIANT. True fact. Seriously, everything looks beautiful on my computer, as if every image is basking under Heaven's glow. Nevertheless! I realize that I must adapt, if I am to continue improving what I make for others.

Constructive criticism is a wonderful thing.

I almost stayed in the shadiest motel ever yesterday. It was after dark, the owner wouldn't even let me into the office, and his deadly-looking german shepherd kept slamming itself against the door to try to get me. I kind of stood there with my ID shoved against the glass, partially to let the ID be read (because I'd made reservations and I was hours away from home), and partially to keep the german shepard from killing me. If my life were an anime, my eyes would have been black, swirling circles and an enormous sweatdrop would have appeared beside my ear.

The man didn't even speak English. With a swish of my coat and a nervously-laughed-out apology, I abandoned the motel and found another one. This other one ended up having pink, pointy toilet seats, but was overall quite lovely. I'd like to understand the points, though. Seemed very strange for the hole of a toilet to be diamond-shaped.

I feel antsy today. I'm not sure yet if it's the productive kind of antsy, or the bad kind that triggers lots of sulking around, drinking too many caffeinated things, and lamenting the unfinished chapters sitting in locked, private entries on this very page. I find myself wanting to do two things: to take a long drive somewhere, and to learn how to craft a dreamcatcher. Both are attainable goals. So. Yes. Perhaps these will be my productive things of the day. All I'd need to do is pick a direction, collect some string, and consult WikiHow for the finer points of knotting spiderweb shapes into a circle. Huzzah! The idea has potential.

In other news, my friend returned and picked up her dog. The dog was so excited that it whapped my friend's tiny, less-than-three-foot-tall-daughter in the chest with its paw and the daughter whirled over backwards, to fall and then tumble over ten feet down a muddy hill. The kid got up immediately, bent over with laughter, and began to praise the dog for being so happy. That would not have been my reaction to being bitch-slapped by a dog and thrown down a hill in plain view of other sentient beings, but hey! Laughter is better than tears in such an instance. More power to this child, I say. :P

Oh, and somebody please tell me to stop visiting creepypasta. I'm not sure I remember how to function as a human being anymore. GAH!
